This report will highlight the purpose and activities of the front of house staff in a large 4 star rated hotel. There are 500 double rooms available and the building is set in the middle of Melbourne’s CBD district. There are two restaurants, a swimming pool and a small garden.

The room amenities and facilities are typical of a 4 star rated hotel. This report can be divided into three parts.
1. Front office/reception staff duties and tasks.
2. Housekeeping and public areas.
