Your first task is to decide what you want to explore or understand as it relates to privacy, technology, and law. Then, come up with 5-10 interview questions and write your interview guide. Keep in mind when you are thinking about your research goal and interview questions that your sample will necessarily have to be the general public. While it is totally acceptable to want to understand something that requires interviewing the regulators at the FCC, we don’t have that luxury in our practice. It doesn’t matter what your specific goal is as long as your interview questions have some kind of relationship to this issue.
